Horses, Cows, & Fish

It's weekends like this that make me wish summer never had to end.

Saturday: Horseback riding at one of our summer pastures. We keep our commercial cattle here during breeding and the summer months to graze the native pasture. They have access to acres upon acres of grassland and fresh water to drink. If you ask me, they live a pretty great life.

Dad and I rode through all of the cows and did a head count to make sure everyone was accounted for and healthy. We also brought them some fresh minerals.

Sunday: Fishing trip! Dad and I drove about an hour and a half into the mountains to a friend's land to fish. We hit about 5 different spots and caught 4 fish, all smaller than my hand. But that's alright. As Billy Currington says, a bad day of fishing beats a good day of anything else.

Dad taught me how to fly fish. Ignore my awful technique..look at the pretty mountains instead.
All of these pictures were edited with Instagram, because I'm addicted to this iPhone app. Find me on there @rosietempleton.

I hope you all had great weekends! Also, I will try to stop being such a lazy blogger. I think this weekend served as a good dose of inspiration!
